Very little is known about the composer Simoni Dall Croubelis (ca. 1727 -. ca. 1790 ). Today it is assumed that Croubelis spent most of his time in Copenhagen, where most of his compositions are said to have been written, after having worked as a flute teacher in Amsterdam. Among his numerous compositions are many works for flute, most of which have remained unexplored. Among them, duets, flute sonatas, a flute quartet, at least one flute concerto, symphonies and chamber music works.
The charming Trio No. 9 in G major for 3 flutes is ideal for working with students in the lower intermediate level. The music is easy to follow and offers no technical difficulties worth mentioning.
